   ROCK BAND NETWORK TRAINING

GameSoundCon San Francisco is excited to present an additional set of training sessions on how musicians can author and publish original recordings into gameplay files and sell their music as playable Rock Band tracks through the newly created Rock Band Network Music Store.

The Rock Band Network training sessions at GameSoundCon, facilitated by MTV Games' Harmonix Music Systems' employees, will be one of the first live public sessions to demonstrate how  musicians, record labels and publishers can author their original recordings into gameplay files for publication on the Rock Band Network.  Once published and approved through a peer review process, tracks uploaded to the Rock Band Network Music Store will be available for download and purchase by millions of Rock Band players

GameSoundCon attendees who sign up for the Rock Band Network training will be at a huge advantage when the Rock Band Network publicly releases these tools later this year

To reserve your seat in the Rock Band Network Training session, you must register in advance for Rock Band Training.  When registering for GameSoundCon, on the conference registration/payment pages, you will be asked which "Activity" you wish to sign up for.  Select "Rock Band Network Training Sessions" by checking the box to the left.  Be sure to select only Rock Band Network Training.

Registrants signing up for Rock Band Network Training should expect to spend both days of the conference in the Rock Band Network Training Sessions; Harmonix has created two full days of content, with each hour's content building on the previous one.

Rock Band Network training will cover:
Creating appropriate stem mixes
Authoring gameplay data with Reaper
Creating a song package with the custom "Magma" tool
Auditioning your song with Rock Band 2
Uploading your song for Peer Review
Publishing and Promoting your song within the
Rock Band Network
How to best map audio tracks to gameplay data to create a fun experience
How to control crowd reactions and lighting during the performance
